Aim & Objective

To reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience of traditional livelihoods in the Nuapada district by conserving water through effective run-off management and promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices.

  • To conserve water by constructing check-dams and other water harvesting structures in the Jonk river basin.
  • To introduce solar lifting systems and drip irrigation for efficient water use in agriculture.
  • To promote crop diversification, horticulture, and sustainable farming practices.
  • To develop alternative livelihoods such as pisiculture and animal husbandry.
  • To build capacity and strengthen community-based institutions for long-term sustainability.
  • To ensure multi-sector convergence for integrated rural development and better climate adaptation.
